（4）no，none，no one和nothing

①no=not any/not a（an），形容詞詞性，在句中作定語，修飾可數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞。

There is no water in the well.

井里沒有水。

②none“一個（點）也沒有”，強調(diào)數(shù)量概念。三者或三者以上的人或物中“沒有一個”，指人或物與of連用修飾名詞或代詞作主語；修飾不可數(shù)名詞時，謂語動詞用單數(shù)；修飾可數(shù)名詞時，謂語動詞單復數(shù)皆可。回答how many/much及含any+n. 引起的疑問句。

None of us enjoys（enjoy）getting up early.

我們沒人喜歡早起。

—Is there any water in the bottle？

瓶子里有水嗎？

—None.

沒有。

③no one 名詞詞性，不與 of 連用；只能指人，但不具體指什么人。作主語時，謂語動詞只能用單數(shù)；回答who及含有anyone，anybody引起的疑問句。

—Is there anyone in the room？

有人在教室里嗎？

—No one.

沒有。

④nothing“什么也沒有”只能用來指物，強調(diào)內(nèi)容；謂語用單數(shù)；回答含anything的一般疑問句及what引起的特殊問句

—What is in the box？

盒子里有什么？

—Nothing.

什么也沒有。

注意：all，every，each，both，many，much，everybody，everyone 等與not 一起構(gòu)成部分否定，not 的位置既可在名詞之前，也可在謂語之中。例如：

Both of the substances do not dissolve in water.

這兩種物質(zhì)并不都溶于水。
